Breathing Through Change: A Gentle Summer Reset

Lately, I’ve found myself standing in the middle of life somewhere between a long to-do list and a quiet longing to just… stop. To breathe. To reconnect with my rhythm and feel into what’s shifting.

My daughter has just finished school and in that milestone moment, while she celebrates and looks forward, I find myself looking back. Time feels like it’s speeding up. The days are full, the years fly by and I keep wondering: am I still moving in the direction that feels true?

I know I’m not alone in this.

There are seasons where we feel energised and expansive, like summer itself, inviting us outwards. And then there are seasons, even in the sunshine, that ask us to soften. To listen. To come back home.

When the Universe Turns Up the Volume

Right now, we’re in what’s known as the Sirius Portal, a period where the star Sirius rises and aligns with the Sun.

In ancient traditions, this time is believed to amplify our intuition, creativity and connection to soul. But to me, it feels more like this: The Universe is turning up the volume on that quiet inner voice.

The one that says, “This matters. This doesn’t. This is who you’re becoming.”

It’s not about being more spiritual or productive, it’s an invitation to listen. Gently. Curiously. Honestly.

And what I am hearing lately is “something is changing”.

*Natural soaps and cleansing tools – a nod to clean, simple, holistic self-care*
*Vibrant whole foods arranged naturally — a reflection of food as healing, grounding and sacred*

Following What Nourishes

When I began this path, I felt clear about the direction I was heading in and that still feels true in many ways but lately, something softer has been rising and calling a little louder:
holistic living, clean rituals, seasonal rhythm, nourishment and of course breath.

I think it’s because it’s what I most need right now.

I’m craving simplicity. Breathing space. Slow mornings. Making things with my hands. Coming back to the breath, not to fix anything but to remember what truly matters and who I am beneath the noise.

Sometimes the direction we think we should go in is different to the one that quietly calls us back to centre. I am learning to follow that call, not abandoning anything but to come into deeper alignment with myself.

If you are feeling this too, the urge to pivot, to reflect, to let go of pressure and let something new emerge then I want you to know: it’s ok. You are not lost. You are evolving!

A Breath for Grounding and Guidance

Here’s a breath practice I’ve been turning to most mornings.
Especially on the days where I feel scattered or unsure or life feels a little too loud. It doesn’t take long and it’s not about getting it right. It’s just a space to reconnect with yourself.

Inner Light Expansion

When to practise: Morning or evening
Where: Somewhere quiet, by a window, in bed, in the garden
Duration: ~10 minutes

Step 1: Arrive
Place one hand on your heart, one on your belly. Close your eyes.
Breathe in slowly through your nose and out gently through your mouth.
Repeat 3–5 times. Feel your body soften.

Step 2: Rhythmic Breath

  • Inhale through the nose for 4 counts

  • Hold for 4

  • Exhale through the mouth for 6

  • Pause for 2

Repeat for 3–5 minutes.
Visualise golden-white light entering on the inhale, expanding through you on the exhale.

Step 3: Ask
Let the breath return to a natural rhythm. Ask softly:
“What is ready to awaken in me?”
“What needs my presence right now?”
Just listen — no need to analyse.

Step 4: Close with Intention
Place both hands on your heart. Whisper:
“I trust what’s unfolding. I trust myself.”

A Soft Pause

As summer deepens, I’ll be taking a quiet break from 19th July to 1st September.
This is something I honour each year, August is sacred family time in our home.

During that time, I won’t be holding sessions or taking new bookings.

Thank you for your patience and for understanding the importance of slowing down so we can all return with more presence, more clarity, more breath. Sometimes the most aligned thing we can do is pause and trust that what’s meant for us will wait.

An Invitation to Slow With Me

If you're feeling a shift of your own, even if it's just a whisper, I invite you to take a breath, pause, and trust it.
